Adding a bit of Sugar & Spice to the mix!

So, on 26th October, we finally welcomed our baby girl Lilah Mae into the world!
For those who don't know, this pregnancy wasn't the best! I had anaemia right through, resulting with an iron infusion at around 32 weeks. Morning sickness right through too, and then at 37 weeks I was diagnosed with having Obstetric Cholestastis and told I had to come back the next day to be induced! Considering all my boys have been 2 weeks late, it was a shock to say the least!
They started the induction the following day and it was a slow slow process. Nothing happened for almost a week. At that point they decided to give me the option of either going home for a bit then trying again the next day, or booking me in for a csection the following day. I was completely exhausted, so we decided the best option, and to get her out sooner than later, would be to have a csection.
The following day, Lilah was born by csection at 11.37am weighing a very health 8lb 5oz at 38 weeks! This little girl is going to be well and truely spoilt by her 3 big brothers!

Gruffalo Tea Party!

So, Jasper is now officially 3! We had a fantastic party in the garden with lots of friends from his nursery, a big bouncy castle and lots of Gruffalo themed food! Oh, and a Gruffalo cake of course! The weather was AMAZING! In fact, maybe a bit too hot at times, but the kids all had a brilliant afternoon and Jasper had "the best birthday ever"!

Busy busy bees...

So, my plans for updating the blog more often haven't happened! But we've had so much going on the last few months. Alfie turned 1 in April and we're in the middle of a big house move at the moment moving from just outside the city to the countryside! We're all really excited.

We've also had some other big news. We're expecting again in November this year, and wait for it... IT'S A GIRL! She's a very lucky little lady to have such amazing big brothers.

Alfie's finally walking. In fact he's almost running everywhere now! And Jaspers 3rd birthday is next month. It's amazing how quickly the years go... So I'm currently planning a Gruffalo birthday party...! Watch this space!

I'll post a few recent pictures for you, but I promise to try and update a bit more often once we're all settled in to the new house :)

On Our Jolly Hols...!

We've been going to Center Parcs pretty much every year since I was 7 (that would be about 26 years then... Scary!) It's the most amazing chill out holiday, even when you have kids to run around after!

This was Bens 8th year, Jaspers 3rd and Alfies 1st!


Hugely enjoyed by all as expected. Lots of swimming and just general lazing about drinking hot chocolates.

Here we go again...!

I've been pretty slack at keeping this blog up to date, sorry!

So another month (or so) has flown by. Sadly not a great one as we lost my grandmother a couple of weeks ago. Her funeral is next week and she will be hugely missed by all of us.

On a lighter note, it was Bens birthday this week. I'll pop a couple of seperate posts up in a bit for these as we had a fun day out at the Zoo last weekend to celebrate in advance!

We also had our first holiday at Centerparcs with Alfie in tow...! Which everyone loved. More on that soon too!

There may also be a few changes round here soon. David has a job interview for next week for an offshore company. It would mean a few days off shore each month, but better working hours, and most importantly, he'll enjoy it more than his current job! If it does go ahead, there's a good chance we may be moving towards the coast to make it easier, but that's a little way off yet!

Anyway, I will post again shortly with some bits from Bens birthday etc.

Back to blogging!

So, Christmas came and went, and we're now almost at the end of January! I've been super slack with keeping this blog up to date. It's just been a bit crazy here recently (mainly down to poorly children!) but I'm making a promise to myself to update this at least twice a week now!
The little had a fab Christmas, and we welcomed in the New Year quietly at home.
Alfie is growing up SO fast at the moment. Pulling himself up to stand. I imagine he'll be walking before his first birthday in April like his bigger brother did!


We've a family holiday planned for next month at Centerparcs. A yearly holiday which we all look forward to after Christmas every year! I'm secretly hoping for a bit of snow so we can build snowmen by the lake behind our villa ;)
